This isn't just a lofty spiritual concept, but a tangible reality that can empower us to live with purpose, overcome challenges, and impact the world around us.

The concept of anointing has deep roots in biblical history. In the Old Testament, we see prophets, priests, and kings anointed with oil as a symbol of God's Spirit coming upon them for a specific purpose. This wasn't just a ritual – it was a divine empowerment that enabled ordinary people to do extraordinary things.

But what does this mean for us today?

The good news is that the anointing isn't limited to a select few in ancient times. As believers in Christ, we have access to this same divine empowerment. The Psalmist declared, "I am anointed with fresh oil" (Psalm 92:10), and this promise extends to us as well.

Let's explore what it means to walk in this anointing:

1. Recognizing Our Identity

Before we can walk in the anointing, we must understand who we are in Christ. We're not just ordinary people trying to make it through life. We are children of God, called to "reign as kings in life" (Romans 5:17). This royal identity isn't based on our own merits, but on the "abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness" we've received through Jesus.

2. Embracing the Holy Spirit's Power

Jesus promised His disciples, "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you" (Acts 1:8). This wasn't just for the early church – it's for us today. The Holy Spirit isn't just a vague spiritual force; He's our Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby (John 14:16-17). When we lean into His presence and power, we tap into a supernatural source of wisdom, strength, and ability.

3. Living with Divine Purpose

God has a specific plan for each of our lives. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the plans I have for you... plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." The anointing empowers us to fulfill this divine purpose. It's not about striving in our own strength, but allowing God's Spirit to work through us.

4. Speaking with Authority

One of the most powerful manifestations of the anointing is in our speech. When we're filled with the Holy Spirit, our words carry a supernatural weight. We're not just sharing our opinions; we're speaking life, hope, and truth into situations. This is particularly evident when we share our faith. As we testify about what God has done in our lives, the anointing enables others to see past us and encounter the living God.

5. Experiencing Divine Health

The anointing isn't just for spiritual matters – it impacts our physical bodies as well. Isaiah 53:5 declares, "By His stripes we are healed." When we embrace this truth and allow the anointing to flow, we can experience supernatural healing and wholeness. This isn't about denying medical science, but about recognizing that our God is the ultimate healer.

6. Breaking Free from Bondage

Many people struggle with addictions, destructive habits, or spiritual oppression. The good news is that the anointing breaks every yoke of bondage (Isaiah 10:27). Testimonies abound of people instantly delivered from addictions, freed from demonic influence, and set free from years of emotional trauma through the power of the Holy Spirit.

7. Impacting Our World

The anointing isn't just for our personal benefit. God empowers us to be a blessing to others. In Acts 10:38, we read that Jesus was "anointed... with the Holy Spirit and power" and He "went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil." As we walk in the anointing, we become conduits of God's love and power to a hurting world.

8. Cultivating a Lifestyle of Worship

The Psalmist begins by declaring, "It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to Your name, O Most High" (Psalm 92:1). Worship isn't just something we do on Sundays; it's a lifestyle that positions us to receive and walk in the anointing. As we continually praise God and acknowledge His goodness, we create an atmosphere for His presence to manifest in our lives.

9. Embracing Humility and Obedience

With great power comes great responsibility. The anointing isn't about elevating ourselves, but about serving God and others. We see this exemplified in David, whom God called "my servant" (Psalm 89:20). To walk in the fullness of the anointing, we must cultivate a heart of humility and obedience to God's voice.

10. Continual Renewal

The phrase "fresh oil" implies an ongoing process. We don't just receive the anointing once and coast on that experience. Like the five wise virgins in Jesus' parable (Matthew 25:1-13), we need to continually seek God, study His Word, and remain filled with His Spirit.

As we embrace this truth of being anointed with fresh oil, our lives will never be the same. We'll approach challenges with confidence, knowing that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We'll walk in divine health, prosperity, and purpose. Most importantly, we'll be effective witnesses for Christ, demonstrating the reality of His power to a skeptical world.

Let's not settle for a superficial Christianity. Instead, let's press in for that fresh anointing, allowing God's supernatural power to flow through every area of our lives. As we do, we'll experience the abundant life Jesus promised and become catalysts for revival in our generation.

Today, why not take a moment to pray? Lift your hands and say, "Lord, anoint me with fresh oil. Empower me by Your Spirit to fulfill Your purposes for my life. Let Your supernatural power flow through me, touching everyone I encounter. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Remember, you are anointed. Now go and live like it!

Want to develop your faith further? What will 2025 bring? For those who walk in faith, this year holds the potential for something truly extraordinary - a fresh anointing from God that can transform our lives and ignite our spirits.

The concept of anointing has deep roots in Scripture. In the Old Testament, we see prophets, priests, and kings set apart for holy purposes through the anointing of oil. This wasn't just a symbolic gesture, but a physical representation of the Holy Spirit's empowerment. The oil itself was considered sacred, carefully prepared according to God's specific instructions.

But what does this ancient practice mean for us today? As believers in the New Testament era, we have something even more profound - the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. The same power that parted the Red Sea now resides within us! This realization should fill us with awe and expectation for what God wants to do in and through our lives.

The Psalmist declared, "I shall be anointed with fresh oil" (Psalm 92:10). This isn't just a historical statement, but a promise we can claim for ourselves. A fresh anointing speaks of renewal, of God's power being poured out in a new and dynamic way. It's an invitation to step into a deeper level of purpose and effectiveness in our walk with God.

As we seek this fresh anointing, it's crucial to remember that it comes with a purpose. God doesn't anoint us simply for our own benefit, but to equip us for service in His kingdom. In Ephesians 4, we're reminded that Christ gave spiritual gifts and leadership roles "for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ." Whether we stand behind a pulpit or serve in our everyday lives, we each have a vital role to play.

This understanding should reshape how we view our lives and callings. Too often, we can fall into the trap of comparison, feeling insignificant because our role doesn't seem as prominent as others. But in God's economy, every believer is anointed for a specific purpose. The question isn't whether you're anointed, but how you're using that anointing to glorify God and serve others.

A key aspect of walking in this fresh anointing is recognizing the holiness of God's calling. In Exodus, we see the detailed instructions for the anointing oil and the stern warning against its misuse. This serves as a powerful reminder that what God sets apart is truly sacred. We must approach our calling and gifting with reverence, understanding that we're vessels of His divine purpose.

The beautiful promise is that as we walk in this anointing, we'll see the supernatural at work in our lives. Isaiah 10:27 declares, "It shall come to pass in that day that his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil." The anointing breaks yokes of bondage, sets captives free, and empowers us to walk in victory.

This fresh anointing isn't just for a select few, but for every believer who seeks it. Psalm 92 paints a vivid picture of those who embrace God's anointing: "The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing."

What a powerful promise! No matter our age or circumstances, God's anointing can cause us to flourish and bear fruit. It's a reminder that our best days are always ahead when we're walking in step with His Spirit.

As we step into this new year, how can we position ourselves to receive and walk in this fresh anointing?

Cultivate a heart of gratitude: Psalm 92 begins by declaring, "It is good to give thanks to the Lord." A thankful heart creates an atmosphere for God's presence to dwell.

Stay planted in God's house: The psalm emphasizes the importance of being rooted in community and regular worship. Don't neglect gathering with other believers.

Embrace humility: Remember that it's God who anoints and appoints. Our role is to be willing vessels, ready to be used for His purposes.

Walk in love and forgiveness: Holding onto offenses can hinder the flow of God's anointing in our lives. Be quick to forgive and to seek forgiveness when needed.

Expect God to move: Approach each day with anticipation, believing that God wants to work in and through you.

Steward the anointing well: Recognize the sacredness of God's calling and gifting in your life. Use it to glorify Him and serve others.

As we embrace this fresh anointing, we can expect 2025 to be a year of supernatural breakthrough and Kingdom impact. God is raising up a generation of believers who are fully surrendered to His purposes, walking in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Let's not settle for business as usual in our spiritual lives. Instead, let's press in for that fresh oil, believing that God wants to do "exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us" (Ephesians 3:20).

The invitation is clear. The promise is sure. Will you step into the fullness of God's anointing for your life in this new year? As you do, prepare to see yokes broken, burdens lifted, and the supernatural power of God flowing through you in ways you've never experienced before.

2025 is not just another year on the calendar. It's an opportunity for your faith to come alive, for God's purposes to be fulfilled, and for His glory to be revealed through your life in unprecedented ways. Embrace the fresh anointing, and watch as God does the extraordinary through your ordinary life.

Want to develop your faith further? One of the most profound yet misunderstood aspects of our faith journey is the practice of tithing. Far from being an outdated concept or a mere religious obligation, tithing represents a powerful spiritual principle that can transform our relationship with God and unlock unprecedented blessings in our lives.

At its core, tithing is not about keeping rules or fulfilling quotas. It's about honor and blessing - a beautiful exchange between us and our Creator. When we tithe, we honor God, and in turn, He blesses us. This simple yet profound truth is echoed throughout scripture, from the earliest accounts of Abraham to the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Consider the story of Abraham and Melchizedek in Genesis 14. After a great victory, Abraham gave a tenth of all he had to Melchizedek, the priest of the Most High God. This act wasn't just about giving money; it was a profound gesture of gratitude and reverence. Abraham recognized that his success came from God, and he honored Him accordingly. In response, Melchizedek blessed Abraham, establishing a pattern that would resonate throughout biblical history.

This principle is further illuminated in Malachi 3:10, where God challenges His people: "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it." Here, we see God inviting us to put His faithfulness to the test. It's a bold promise that underscores the reciprocal nature of our relationship with Him.

But what exactly does it mean to honor God with our tithes? It's more than just a financial transaction. When we tithe, we're declaring that God is our source, not just of wealth, but of everything in our lives. We're acknowledging that all we have comes from Him, and we're trusting Him with our future provision. This act of faith positions us to receive not just material blessings, but spiritual abundance as well.

Jesus himself spoke about the importance of giving what belongs to God. In Matthew 22:21, when questioned about paying taxes, He famously replied, "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." This statement goes beyond mere civic duty; it's a profound reminder that certain things rightfully belong to God. Our tithes are not ours to keep, but rather a holy portion set apart for Him.

It's crucial to understand that tithing is not a guarantee of wealth or a magical formula for success. Rather, it's a spiritual discipline that aligns our hearts with God's purposes and opens us up to His provision in all areas of our lives. When we honor God with our finances, we're inviting Him to be Lord over every aspect of our existence.

The concept of being "blessed to be a blessing" comes alive through faithful tithing. As we experience God's faithfulness in our own lives, we become conduits of His grace to others. Imagine a community of believers so blessed that they can generously support those in need, fund Kingdom initiatives, and make a tangible impact in the world. This is the vision God has for His church - a people living in abundance, not for their own sake, but for the sake of His glory and the advancement of His Kingdom.

However, it's important to address the hesitation many feel when it comes to tithing. In a world of financial uncertainty, giving away 10% of our income can seem daunting. But this is where faith meets obedience. God doesn't ask us to tithe because He needs our money; He invites us to tithe because He wants our hearts. When we step out in faith and honor Him with our finances, we're declaring our trust in His provision and our commitment to His lordship.

The Bible speaks of being "cursed with a curse" for robbing God in tithes and offerings (Malachi 3:9). While this may sound harsh, it's actually an invitation to break free from the cycle of lack and step into God's abundance. By bringing our tithes to God, we're positioning ourselves for blessing and protection. As the passage continues, God promises to "rebuke the devourer" for our sake - a powerful assurance of His care and provision.

It's worth noting that tithing is not just an Old Testament concept. In Hebrews 7, we see how the principle of tithing is connected to our relationship with Jesus, our eternal High Priest. Just as Abraham gave tithes to Melchizedek, we give our tithes to Christ, acknowledging His supremacy and our dependence on Him.

As we reflect on these truths, let's challenge ourselves to view tithing not as a burden, but as a beautiful opportunity to partner with God. It's a chance to declare His lordship over our lives, to express our gratitude for His provision, and to position ourselves for His blessings. Whether you're a seasoned tither or considering this step for the first time, remember that God is inviting you into a deeper level of trust and intimacy with Him.

Let's embrace the role of stewards, recognizing that everything we have ultimately belongs to God. Our job is simply to manage it wisely and return to Him what is rightfully His. As we do so, we can look forward with expectation to the ways He will move in our lives, opening doors we never thought possible and using us to be a blessing to others.

In a world that often prioritizes accumulation and self-reliance, tithing stands as a powerful counter-cultural statement. It declares that our trust is not in wealth or possessions, but in the living God who provides for all our needs. As we step out in faith and honor God with our finances, may we experience the truth of His promise: that He will "open the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it."

Want to develop your faith further? What if 2025 could be the greatest year of your life? What if you could step into a season of unprecedented growth, blessing, and spiritual awakening? The good news is, you can – and the key lies in one powerful word: faith.

Faith is not just a religious concept; it's a living, breathing force that has the power to transform every aspect of our lives. It's the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. In other words, faith gives tangible reality to our deepest hopes and dreams, even before we see them manifest in the physical world.

But how do we cultivate this kind of faith? How do we move from merely knowing about faith to living in it?

The journey begins with understanding that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. This isn't a one-time event, but a continuous process. We need to immerse ourselves in God's promises, reading them, meditating on them, and allowing them to take root in our hearts. The more we hear God's Word, the stronger our faith becomes.

Think of it like this: what natural food is to our physical bodies, the Word of God is to our spirits. Just as we wouldn't expect to stay healthy by eating once a week, we can't expect our faith to thrive on sporadic encounters with God's Word. We need daily nourishment, daily reminders of who God is and what He has promised.

But it's not enough to simply know God's Word – we must also believe it and confess it. There's a powerful equation at work here: believing with the heart plus confessing with the mouth equals faith activated. When our hearts and mouths align with God's promises, mountains begin to move.

Consider the story of Abraham. God promised him he would become the father of many nations, even though he and his wife were well past childbearing age. Against all hope, Abraham believed. He didn't waver in unbelief but was strengthened in his faith, giving glory to God. He was fully persuaded that God would do what He had promised.

This is the kind of faith we're called to walk in. It's not blind optimism or wishful thinking, but a deep-seated conviction based on who God is and what He has said. It's a faith that holds fast to God's promises, even when circumstances seem to contradict them.

But here's the thing: faith is not static. It grows. And like any growth process, it often starts small. So don't be discouraged if you're not moving mountains just yet. Start by believing God for the small things, and as you see His faithfulness in those areas, your faith will grow to believe for bigger things.

As we step into this new year, here are some practical steps to help you live a life of faith:

1. Identify a need or desire in your life.
2. Search the Scriptures to find promises that cover your need.
3. Ask yourself: Do I truly believe these promises are for me?
4. Ask God to meet your need, based on His promises.
5. Believe that God has heard you and that you have received what you asked for.
6. Thank God for the answer, even before you see it.
7. Let your words align with what you believe in your heart.
8. Hold fast to your confession of faith until you see the manifestation.

Remember, this may require patience. Don't put time limits on your requests, but trust God's perfect timing. Hold fast to His promises without wavering, knowing that He who promised is faithful.

As you walk this path of faith, expect to see God move in unprecedented ways. Expect healings, breakthroughs, and turnarounds. Expect to enter into the greatest year of your life – not because of your own abilities, but because of the God you serve.

But here's a crucial point: this journey of faith isn't just about what we can get from God. It's about drawing closer to Him. It's about leaning into His presence, making Him our best friend, our guide, and our king. As we do this, we'll find that our faith naturally grows stronger.

In the coming year, determine to walk by faith, not by sight. Let your faith protect you from the fiery darts of the enemy. Live a life of faith adventures, always pressing forward, always believing for more.

Remember, good things are ahead. Lean into God more than you ever have before. Listen to Him. Let Him be your best friend, your guide, and your king. As you do, you'll find yourself walking into a year unlike any other – a year of growth, of breakthrough, of seeing God's power manifest in ways you've never experienced before.

Your best days are not behind you; they're in front of you. Your latter days will be greater than your former days. Believe it. Confess it. And watch as God moves mountains on your behalf.

As we stand on the brink of this new year, let's make a commitment. Let's determine to walk by faith, to live by faith, to let our faith protect us and propel us forward. Let's believe God for great things, starting with the small and growing to the seemingly impossible.

The stage is set. The promises are given. Now it's time for us to step out in faith, fully persuaded that what God has promised, He is also able to perform. Are you ready? Your greatest year awaits.

Want to develop your faith further?
Faith: The Key to Unlocking God's Promises

Faith is essential for a strong relationship with God and is nurtured by immersing ourselves in His Word, as Romans 10:17 teaches. True faith is not just hope but a confident assurance that God's promises will be fulfilled, demonstrated through actions like those of the friends who brought the paralyzed man to Jesus (Luke 5:17-26). As we grow in faith, we become vessels of God's power, called to continue Jesus' mission of preaching the gospel, healing the sick, and performing signs and wonders, trusting that God will work through us to accomplish His will.

One of the most powerful tools we have at our disposal is faith - not just any faith, but a faith that is rooted deeply in God's word and promises.

The Bible tells us in Hebrews 11:6, "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." This verse encapsulates a profound truth: our relationship with God is fundamentally based on faith. But what does it mean to have true faith, and how can we develop it?

First and foremost, we must understand that faith is not something we can conjure up on our own or pray into existence. Romans 10:17 provides the key: "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Our faith grows and develops as we immerse ourselves in God's word - reading it, hearing it, and meditating upon it. It's a continuous process of feeding our spirits with the truth of Scripture.

Consider this: when we have faith, we receive God's blessings. And when we are blessed, God is pleased. It's a beautiful cycle that begins with our willingness to trust in His word. God is not an ogre in the sky, waiting to punish us for lack of faith. Rather, He eagerly desires to bless us and is delighted when we position ourselves to receive those blessings through faith.

But here's a crucial point: true faith is a knowing kind of faith. It's not hoping that God's word might work or wondering if it will come to pass. When we have genuine faith in God and His word, we are absolutely certain that His promises will manifest in our lives. This kind of unwavering confidence comes from consistently hearing and meditating on God's word.

The story in Luke 5:17-26 beautifully illustrates this kind of faith in action. When friends of a paralyzed man couldn't get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they didn't give up. Their faith was so strong that they climbed onto the roof, made an opening, and lowered their friend down to Jesus. The text says, "When Jesus saw their faith, he said, 'Friend, your sins are forgiven.'" Their actions demonstrated a faith that moved beyond mere hope into certainty.

It's important to note that faith is not separate from God's word - they are intrinsically linked. To believe in God means to believe what He has said in His word. The more we immerse ourselves in Scripture, the stronger our faith becomes. Our faith development is directly related to the amount of God's word we have hidden in our hearts.

As we step into new seasons of life, it's crucial to remember that faith is not just about receiving blessings for ourselves. God empowers us through faith to be conduits of His love and power to others. Jesus promised in John 14:12, "Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father."

What were these works? Matthew 9:35 tells us that Jesus went about "teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people." As believers, we are called to continue this mission - to preach the good news, to lay hands on the sick, to cast out demons, and to speak in new tongues (Mark 16:15-18).

This calling might seem daunting, but remember - it's not about our own abilities. It's about allowing God's power to work through us. As we step out in faith, God confirms His word with signs following (Mark 16:20). Our job is simply to believe and obey, trusting that God will do the rest.

As we look to the future, we can anticipate great things. God is preparing His body - the church - to do mighty works. But these works will only be accomplished through faith. It's time for us to rise up, to be bold and strong, knowing that God is with us. Whether in the marketplace, in our families, or in far-flung corners of the world, God wants to use us to bring His kingdom to earth.

Let's challenge ourselves to grow in faith. How? By immersing ourselves in God's word daily. By speaking it out loud, declaring His promises over our lives. By acting on what we believe, even when circumstances seem contrary. As we do this, we'll find our faith growing stronger, and we'll begin to see God's power manifesting in and through us in unprecedented ways.

Remember, faith is not static - it's meant to grow and develop. Just as a mustard seed grows into a mighty tree, our faith can grow from a tiny spark into a blazing fire that changes the world around us. Let's commit to nurturing our faith, feeding it with God's word, and stepping out boldly to do the works Jesus has called us to do.

As we close, let's reflect on these powerful words from Proverbs 4:20-22: "My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh." Let God's word be your constant companion, your guide, and the foundation of your faith.

May we all grow in faith, becoming conduits of God's love, power, and blessings to a world in desperate need. As we do, we'll discover the truth of Jesus' words - that with faith, all things are possible. Let's step into this adventure of faith together, expectant and excited for all that God will do in and through us.

Want to develop your faith further?
