Statement of faith

We believe the following to be true according to the infallible Word of God.

The Bible

The Bible is verbally inspired by God as written in the original language. It is the inerrant revelation from God to man. It is the infallible and final authority for all matters pertaining to faith, doctrine, and conduct.

(Psalm 119:89; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:16,17; 2 Peter 1:19-21)

The One True God

We believe in the One True God, Who is the eternally self-existent "I AM," the Creator of the universe. He has further revealed Himself as a TRUINE BEING, manifested as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

(1 John 5:7; St John 14:16,23)

The Lord Jesus Christ

He was born of the Virgin Mary. He is 100% divine (SON OF GOD) while simultaneously being 100% human (SON OF MAN). As God Incarnate, He is the express image of the Living God in human form, making full atonement for sin by His sacrifice on the Cross for all of humanity. Because of this, full provision is made for the salvation of mankind.

(Isaiah 7:14; 53:1-5; Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-35; 3:22; St. John 1:1-18; 10:1-30;
2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Hebrews 2:1-10; 9:11-28)

Mankind

Man is a created being, made in the image and likeness of God. Through man's transgression and fall, sin entered the world, depriving all of mankind to attain divine righteousness.

(Genesis 1:26-31; 3:1-24; Romans 3:10-23; 5:12-21; Ephesians 2:1-3)

Salvation

Everyone who genuinely repents of their sins and accepts Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord is pardoned, regenerated, justified, and saved.

(Psalm 103:2-5; St. John 3:1-7; Acts 2:37-39; 3:19; 16:20-33; 17:28-30; Romans 6:1-10; Colossians 2:10-15)

Water Baptism

We Believe in the necessity of water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ as commanded in the Scriptures. This ordinance symbolizes the believer's identification with Jesus Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. All who repent of their sins and accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord must be water baptized.

(Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:37-39; 8:36-39; Romans 6:1-10;
Colossians 2:1-10)

The Holy Spirit

The infilling of the Holy Ghost and fire as a real experience at or subsequent to salvation, with the scriptural evidence of speaking in other tongues, as the Holy Ghost gives them the utterance.

(Matthew 3:11; Luke 24:49; St. John 14:16,17; Acts 1:8; 2:1-39; 8:14-17; 10:44-48; 19:1-7

Holy Communion

We believe in Holy Communion, the Lord's Supper, consisting of bread and a cup of the fruit of the vine. This serves as a memorial of Jesus's death, burial, and resurrection. This ordinance is to be enjoyed by every Christian until the Lord Jesus Christ comes again.

(Matthew 26:26-28; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

The Spirit-filled Life

A life of complete separation from the world, and perfecting of holiness and sanctification in the fear of the Lord as the full expression of the true Christian testimony. Without holiness, no man can see the Lord.

(Proverbs 3:1-7; Romans 12:1,2; 1 Corinthians 1:26-31; 3:16,17;
2 Corinthians 6:14-18; 7:1; 2 Peter 3:11-18)

Ever-increasing Faith

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. God is a faith God and without faith, it is impossible to please Him. Our faith should continually increase as we grow in spiritual understanding of the Word of God. Christians are saved through faith, justified by faith, they are to live by faith, and overcome the world by faith.

(Romans 10:17; Hebrews 11:6; Ephesians 2:8-10; Romans 5:1; Romans 1:16,17;
1 John 5:1-5)

Divine Healing

We believe in divine healing for all the ills of the human body, wrought by the power of God through the anointing of oil, the prayer of faith, and by the laying on of hands. Divine healing is freely and fully provided through the work of the Cross and is available to every member of the Body of Christ today.

(Psalm 103:1-5; Isaiah 53:1-5; Matthew 9:35; Mark 16:15-18; James 5:14,15)

Giving

The giving of tithes and offerings is a commandment from God's Word. Those who withhold their tithes and offerings are robbing God. God will rebuke the destroyer on behalf of the obedient tither and giver by opening up the windows of Heaven and pouring out His BLESSING. God delights to respond to giving with gracious and abundant provision.

(Malachi 3:8-12; Proverbs 3:9-10; Deuteronomy 8:18; Luke 6:38;
2 Corinthians 9:6-8)

The Local Church

The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is comprised of all Christians. Since God's purpose concerning man is to seek and to save that which was lost, to be worshipped by man, and to build a body of believers in the image of His Son, the Church's responsibility is: 1) to evangelize the world, and 2) to be a corporate body in which man may worship and glorify God. God's perfect plan for every Christian is for them to be firmly connected to a local church. The local church provides leadership, instruction, and protection.

(Matthew 16:13-20; Mark 16:15-18; Luke 19:10; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:12-18;
Psalm 92:13-15: Hebrews 10:25)

The Return of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Rapture of the Church

The angels said to Jesus' disciples, " ... this same Jesus, Who was taken up from you into Heaven, shall so come in like manner, as you have seen Him go into Heaven." Jesus' coming is imminent. When He comes, " ... the dead in Christ will rise first; then we who are alive and remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord Jesus Christ in the air."

(Matthew 24:27-30; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 8:23; 11:26,27; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15:51-58; Titus 2:13; Revelation 1:7; 19:11-14; 20:1-6; Zephaniah 3:19,20; Isaiah 11:6-9; Micah 4:1-4)

Hell and Eternal Retribution

One who physically dies in his or her sins without accepting Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord will be hopelessly and forever lost in the lake of fire and therefore, will have no more opportunity of hearing and receiving the Gospel of Jesus Christ and receive salvation and eternal life.

(Matthew 24:46; Mark 9:43-48; 1 Thessalonians 1:7; Hebrews 9:27;
Revelation 19:1-21; 20:1-15 ; 21:1-8)

A New Heaven and a New Earth

According to God's promise, we look for the new heavens and a new earth where righteousness will dwell and reign forever.

(2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:9-27; 22:1-21)
